Verdicchio

Verdicchio is a native Italian white grape variety mainly grown in Marche region of central Italy. It is an early ripening grape variety with yellowish-green skin. Its name "Verdicchio" is derived from the word "Verde" which means green.

It produces the wine of the same name that is usually described as a crisp, dry and high acidity wine with subtle hints of citrus fruits and nutty flavours. Verdicchio is also used for making sparkling wines.
