History of wine production in Argentina dates back to 16th century when Spaniards first arrived there. Despite having a long history of wine production and perfect climate for growing quality grapes, Argentinian wines are somewhat under-rated globally. Nevertheless, in the recent past the wine industry in Argentina is growing at a fast pace and Argentinian wines are recieving long due and much deserved attention throughout the world. Technological developments and big investments by venture capitalist are instrumental in transforming the wine industry in Argentina and making it the fifth biggest producer of wine in the World.
