Verdicchio

Verdicchio is a native Italian white grape variety mainly grown in Marche region of central Italy. It is an early ripening grape variety with yellowish-green skin. Its name "Verdicchio" is derived from the word "Verde" which means green.

It produces the wine of the same name that is usually described as a crisp, dry and high acidity wine with subtle hints of citrus fruits and nutty flavours. Verdicchio is also used for making sparkling wines.

Barbera

Barbera is one of the most planted red grape varieties in Italy. Although it is originally from Italy, it is also planted in the USA, Brazil, Australia, Argentina and Uruguay.

Barbera is relatively a late ripening grape variety and prefers warmer clilmates. It gives good yields and produces wines with deep colour, low tannins and high levels of acidity.
